for it

A Word
About Our Scrapbook
In Philippians 4:8, the Bible
says, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good
report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on
these things."
The selections below
are assorted articles, thoughts, Bible studies, poems, stories,
etc., gleaned from various sources (we have attempted to give the
original source in every case, but it is not always possible). Some
items are from past issues of the Gospel Standard; others are simply
miscellaneous clippings that have crossed our desks here at the PGH
over the years, that we would like to share with you. The short
Bible studies are ideal for devotionals or Sunday school
discussions; the poems and short articles make wonderful inserts for
church bulletins. We trust you
will enjoy "thinking on these things," and use them for your own
encouragement, Bible study, and exhortation to others.
Truly, in a world
that is seeing more and more of a famine of the things of God, it is
our joy to spend as much time as we can meditating on the things
that matter most.
